...sewing to create texture
with Lois Ericson

Lois Ericson is an artist, writer and avid sewer. Her studio is her laboratory, trial and error are her companions, she loves to experiment.
"I have a real need to be unique in my life and work. Manipulating and creating texture from ordinary cloth is of particular interest to me. By combing texture and print, with traditional sewing methods, I multiply the possibilities. I'm also involved in other art work; contemporary watercolors, bookbinding, collages."
Lois has written many textile books, edits a bi-monthly newsletter 'Good News rag', shares her ideas in articles in Threads and other magazines.
